In a game like Roblox Project New World where the world is filled with powerful enemies, it's vital to choose the correct weapon for battle. The weapon you choose will decide the damage you deal to the opponents and the type of abilities that you can use. The game gives you quite a lot of weapons to choose from as well.

Players first get a chance to decide if they want to be a sword main or a fruit main. You can only deal basic attack damage to opponents if you're a sword main. Moreover, it's much easier to get a good sword for battle than it is to get fruit if you're a new player.

How To Get Katana
The very first sword you'll unlock in Project New World is the Katana. This weapon can be acquired in the little stall on the starter island. As shown in the picture above, you can find this stall right behind the Marine Recruit near the water. Talk to the NPC inside the stall and you'll be able to acquire Katana.
Since this is a starter weapon, its base damage is the same as your normal punch damage. Apart from their basic attacks, every sword in the game has two unique abilities, including Katana. Here are all the Katana abilities:

Lion's Song
Perform a quick dash in any desired location that deals damage to all the enemies in the path.
Air Slash
Throws a shockwave in the direction you're facing that deals damage to all the enemies hit.
How To Get Shark Blade
To unlock the next weapon in the game, you have to grind a lot and get to level 120. While this is not necessary, it's going to make the struggle to get this weapon a lot better. Once you reach level 90, you can head over to Shark Park, which is the island that has the level written above it on the map.
On this island, you can fight some normal mobs at level 90, but the quest to fight the Shark Boss unlocks at level 120. Every time you defeat this boss, there's a five percent chance of getting the Shark Blade. The blade's unique abilities are:

Shark Smash
As the name suggests, your character smashes the blade into the ground, dealing damage in a large circle.
Shark Hurricane
Once again, the character performs a circular hurricane that deals high damage to the surrounding enemies.
How To Get 2 Sword Style V1 And V2
The cool weapons will start appearing as soon as you get to level 350 and enter Logue City. This is the island with three stone docks stretching out in front of it. As you enter this island, you'll be able to see multiple level 350 Marine Recruit enemies with a leaderboard and bounty board beside a building.
Head to the gap on the left side of these boards, as shown in the picture above, and you'll find Doctor White standing in front of a building beside a chest. When you talk to this NPC, he will give you 2 Sword Style V1 for $100,000 Beli.
After getting the first version of this weapon, you can start your journey to get the second version. On the same island, a Superboss called Dual Swordsman spawns every hour, and a system message is displayed on your screen whenever he spawns. When you defeat this boss, you have a ten percent chance of getting a book.
If you're lucky enough to get it, you can take this book to Doctor White and he'll give you 2 Sword Style V2. Both the first and the second versions of this weapon have the same abilities:

Sends a giant projectile where you're aiming and deals damage in a circular AoE.
Twister
Spawns a hurricane at the character's position that heads toward the nearest enemy and comes back to the character after dealing damage.
How To Get Pipe
The next step on your journey of obtaining all the weapons is the Marine Base Town island with a minimum level of 600. Even though you can access this island from the very beginning, you have to be level 600 to talk to the required NPC to claim the weapon.
Once you've reached level 600, head to Marine Base Town and find a giant blue structure. There are two of these on the island, but only one of them has an NPC called Soba standing under a tree. Talk to this NPC and he'll give you Pipe for $250,000 Beli, and here's what it does:

Fire Shot
Shoots a single ball of fire in any direction that deals damage to all the enemies in its path.
Flamethrower
As the name suggests, this ability makes your Pipe a flamethrower that can deal constant fire damage to the enemies in front of you.
Other than the unique active abilities, the Pipe also has a passive that gives it an extra 10 percent Fire effect.
How To Get Mace
Marine Base Town seems to be an important stop on your journey since the Mace is the second weapon located on this island. Although, it's much harder to acquire this weapon since there's a lot of RNG involved. The first step is to get to level 650 and start defeating the Marine Captain when you can take the quest.
Whenever you defeat the Marine Captain, there's a small chance to get a Lava Ore in the rewards. Once you get this item, you need to place it in the cauldron to spawn the Mace Boss. Before you can do that, you have to take the Lava Key that's located near the spawn point on this island.
Take the Lava Key and go behind the entire island, and you'll find a little door at the bottom. Use the key to open the door and place Ore inside the cauldron to spawn the Mace Boss. Defeating this boss has a 15 percent chance of dropping the Mace weapon and here are its abilities:

Earth Crash
As you'd expect from a Mace, this ability performs a large AoE attack that deals damage to everyone hit.
Bagua
Upon activating this ability, your character dashes in the direction of your aim and smashes the ground at the end.
How To Get Bisento V1 And V2
By far, Bisento V1 and V2 are two of the best weapons in Project New World. To acquire these weapons, you have to reach a minimum level of 800. After fulfilling the level requirement, head to the Marine HQ on the top right section of your map, and you'll see four giant towers around the main building.
Head to the tower closest to the building on the left side when you're looking directly at the building, and you'll find an NPC called Bella on the top. You can get Bisento V1 from her for $500,000 Beli if you fulfill all the requirements.
The process of acquiring Bisento V2 is similar to 2 Sword Style. You have a chance to get a key when you defeat the Ice Admiral boss, and you can place this key in the slot near the docks on this island. This will spawn the Tremor Girl who has a small chance of dropping a White Orb.
Take this Orb to Bella and she'll let you exchange it for Bisento V2, which has the same abilities as the first version with more damage:

Shattering Orb
Creates a giant ball on your weapon that is released in the direction of your aim, which deals damage to the enemies in its path.
Shattering Impact
This ability lets your character smash the weapon on the ground that deals damage in a giant AoE.
How To Get Golden Staff
Sky Island is one of the most interesting islands in Project New World, but it requires you to be at least level 950. Although, you need to be level 1100 to take the quest of the boss you have to fight for this weapon. The process to get the Golden Staff is pretty simple since there's no Superboss involved.
Get to the highest point on this island and fight Thunder God to have a one percent chance of getting Golden Staff. Here are its unique abilities:

Thunder Blast
Throws a projectile wherever you're aiming and deals damage in a small AoE upon impact.
Thunder Strike
Instantly deals damage in a large AoE at the position of your aim whenever this ability is activated.
Apart from these active abilities, you also get a nice electric effect around your character when this weapon is equipped.
How To Get Soul Cane
To get Soul Cane, you need to get to the Impel Jail island, which has a minimum level of 1300. As you enter this island from the front door, look to your left and there'll be a patch on the wall with a different color than the surrounding walls. This is a wall that a player can go through.
On the other side, you'll find Mr. Skeleton who'll give you Soul Cane for a mere $100,000 Beli when you have the level requirements. Here's what the weapon does:

Soul Parade
This ability freezes all the enemies within a certain area of your character for a few seconds.
Soul Thrust
Throws a projectile in the designated direction, dealing damage to the enemies in its path.
How To Get Krampus Scythe
Krampus Scythe is a special weapon in Project New World that is connected to a time-limited event. During this event, you can head to the Iceberg Island right behind Starter Island to get a gift-delivering quest. Delivering these gifts will spawn a Krampus Superboss that has a small chance of dropping the Scythe.
Here's what you can do if you had the chance of getting this weapon:

Holiday Spirit
When you activate this ability, your character quickly spins the Scythe, dealing heavy damage to the enemies hit.
Chilling Spikes
Spawns a bunch of icicles in a line depending on where you're aiming. These icicles deal damage to the enemies hit and immobilizes them for a couple of seconds.
How To Get Dark Blade
Finally, the Dark Blade (also known as Yoru) is the best weapon in Project New World, but it can only be acquired by spending real money. You can head to the Store inside the menu to find this Sword, and it can be bought for $1199 Robux. You have the weapon permanently when you buy it.
While this weapon already looks amazing, here's what it does:

Dark Slash
Throws a giant slash in the aimed direction that deals heavy damage to the enemies in its path. The hitboxes of this ability are determined by the path on the ground, and not the slash itself.
Thousand Slashes
Whenever this ability is activated, your character will constantly slash in front of it, dealing heavy damage to the enemies hit.
