Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that Leatherface won't be leaving Dead by Daylight anytime soon, while also urging fans to listen to official channels instead of leaks.
Last week, a Dead by Daylight insider claimed that Leatherface would be leaving the game soon due to licensing issues, with many putting the blame on the upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre game. With that game in mind and considering that it's happened in the past with Stranger Things content, it seemed plausible.

Thankfully, the rumour wasn't true, as Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that Leatherface isn't going anywhere "anytime soon". Behaviour also urged fans to follow "official channels" for news on Dead by Daylight, instead of believing leaks.
THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY
On Twitter, Behaviour shared an image of Leatherface about to kill someone, saying "Y'all, he's not going anywhere". The Dead by Daylight account then had this to say when asked about Leatherface leaving, "Nope, he's still got business to take care of in The Entity's Realm. We'll let you know if a licensed character ever needs to leave us".
Behaviour also posted a message on the Dead by Daylight Facebook page, which reads, "Fret not, The Cannibal isn't going anywhere anytime soon – he's hooked on DbD. If you want to avoid being lost in the Fog, follow our official channels".
One of the main pieces of evidence backing up the rumour that Leatherface was leaving Dead by Daylight was that some of his perks had their name changed in a recent update, with Twitter user dveet sharing a screenshot of the perks displaying their alternate name. This seemed to indicate Leatherface's exclusive perks being made available to all, which backed up the idea that he wasn't going to be in the game much longer. It seems that it was just a misunderstanding, however.
Although Leatherface can be a bit of a contentious character in the Dead by Daylight community, reactions to him staying in the game have mostly been positive, with one player joking on Reddit that Bubba isn't going anywhere because he's facecamping.
